Rosewood is our home and home to our wonderful Newfoundlands. We are located on the shores of Skaneateles Lake in beautiful upstate New York. The lake is one of the cleanest bodies of water in the country and provides hours of fun for the dogs. We have had newfies since 1987. They have been a large part of our family over the years in show and tells’, carting demonstrations and even school plays. Many of them have earned draft, water and obedience titles. They are truly a versatile breed, that is why we feel that this is a wonderful breed to be loved and cherished.
Killian’s Hillside Newfoundland’s is located approximately 45 minutes northeast of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. We are a very small scale breeder. Our newfs live in our home as part of our family. With both of our children having completed college and moved out, we have more than filled the “empty nest” with our “Gentle Giant’s”. Our puppies are born and raised in the warmth of our home.
Dogs have been a part of our family forever. We spend most weekends and all vacations, engaged in some activity involving the dogs. Now our family has grown to include four Newfs and we are actively engaged in all working dog activities and conformation. Our circle of friends is comprised of other Newf families and we enjoy exchanging stories in between training for working dog titles and just to have fun. We have a tremendous bond with our dogs. It is a deep partnership which we treasure immensely. Nothing else seems to matter when we are working with the Newfs!
My name is Benita Edds.We live east of Knoxville in Dandridge, TN on Douglas Lake where we do conformation, water rescue, carting, therapy, obedience and breeding. We at TimberKnoll Newfoundlands are dedicated to breeding Newfoundlands that are of sound structure and temperment. Several TimberKnoll Newfoundlands have excelled in the following areas, winning awards in Obedience, Water Rescue, Draft Dogs, Therapy Dogs and Canine Good Citizens.
When we design a breeding the basis is two fold: 1.Producing sound and type for the show ring and 2. Health for not only our breeding program but also for those puppies who will be going to pret homes. A smaller kennel, we typically only produce one litter a year, sometimes two. Typically our kennel is limited to 8 Newfs between both properties. We have been breeding and showing for over 30 years now and see no end in sight!
We are a small breeder of “Quality” black and landseer Newfoundland puppies. Our puppies are lovingly raised in our home with children. We breed only from showable breeding stock with champion bloodlines. OFA health clearances are very important in our breeding program & good health & longevity is very important when selecting a breeder.
All of our puppies are AKC registered, parents have had health testing, wonderful temperaments and puppies are extremely well socialized. We strive to breed for good health, beauty, structure and temperament.
Welcome to Poseidon Newfoundlands. We are committed to producing Newfs with beautiful conformation, sound structure and gentle temperament. We are not a breeding kennel, just Newfoundland lovers who will have a litter if we feel that we can offer something to the breed by breeding for temperament and good health. Our philosophy on raising dogs is simple. First and foremost, each and every one of our Newfs is a family member. We derive incredible joy from this wonderful breed, and feel that every Newfoundland should have a special place in their owners’ lives and home.
We believe it is our responsibility to breed only when it is for the betterment of the Newfoundland. Our breeding philosophy is that we do not compromise soundness, excellence of type or of temperament to attain beauty-but a beautiful dog is a joy to behold and to own!
TidesPointe Newfoundlands is a family kennel, run by Wendy & Steve Aubert and our daughters. We live along the shores of Lake Michigan in Holland, MI. Dan & Marylou Zimmerman, breeders of Voyager Newfoundlands, have shared their lives with Newfoundlands since 1992. Zimmerman’s (now including children Sam & Sarah) are convinced that raising healthy, tempermentally sound show and working Newfoundlands was a goal they would like to strive for. After much research, a pup was obtained from mentor breeder Denise Castonquay, breeder of CastaNewf Kennels in British Columbia.
HayTee’s Kennel is located in Northern Wisconsin. We have been raising Newfoundlands Since 1990. First and foremost our breeding criteria is health, temperament, and beauty. We adhere to the breed standards. We are a small kennel which only breeds a few litters a year. Our puppies are raised in our home, amongst our children and our daily routines. They are well socialized before they go to your home.
We are small hobby kennel. We enjoy training our dogs for obedience, water and draft work. Tom enjoys showing our dogs in the breed and obedience rings and the newfoundlands in draft work. Ours dogs are health checked before breeding.
Rowens Newfoundlands are bred with consideration for temperament, health and conformation to the standard for the breed. When we place a dog with its new owner, our first concern is that the dog will be properly cared for with nutritious food, clean water, veterinary care including immunizations, personal attention and training, to develop the Newf into a dog that owners can enjoy owning. We feel responsible for every puppy that we bring into the world and should an owner of one of our dogs no longer wish to or be able to keep it, we require that the new owner agree to return the dog to us.
Peggy and Dave Helming acquired their first Newfoundland in 1965 and began their breeding program in 1968 under the kennel prefix Pouch Cove. They have bred and/or owned approximately 275 champions, including many National Specialty winners, Working Group winners and Best in Show winners in the USA and also around the world. Their dogs have also excelled in Obedience trials and in NCA sanctioned working events. Fourteen have earned their NCA Versatility titles obtaining AKC Championship, NCA Water Rescue and NCA Draft Dog titles. Peggy and Dave were recognized as the 2003 AKC Working Dog Breeders of the Year given their many accomplishments with the Pouch Cove breeding program.
All of our pups are raised in our home as part of our family. They are well socialized before they go to their new families and homes. Because we feel so strongly that a Newfoundland should be a valued member of the family, we screen selectively for homes that will treasure them as the loving companions they are. We are here for the lifetime of the dogs we breed. In other words, we will be here for you and your Newfoundland.
We breed for quality . We raise Browns, Blacks and Landseers. Our adults are screened and tested prior to breeding. Our adults are all AKC registered and all our puppies go to their new homes with papers. Our puppies are raised in the home and socialized with other dogs, people and kids.We are here for you long after you take your puppy home for any questions or help you might need in raising your new puppy.
We are striving to produce quality purebred AKC dogs. Our goal is to breed for soundness, temperament, longevity and intelligence. We have Champions in the breed ring as well as obedience arena. We transplanted to Georgia, an hour east of Atlanta. We now have a large pond for swiming and boating. The dogs love it. Health testing of our breeding stock is very important to insure the continued good health of our breed.
Moonsail is committed to breeding Newfoundlands that are sound in mind and body. We strive to produce Newfs that are capable of competing in obedience, conformation and the work they were historically bred to do. We feel that our most important job as breeders however, is to educate current and prospective Newf owners about the breed. Please feel free to email us with any questions you may have about Newfoundlands.
Our foundation stock has predominantly been Mooncusser and Pouch Cove lines. We enjoy answering all of your inquiries, and are available to have you visit our kennels if ever you’re just debating between a Newfie and another breed.
