Dan & Marylou Zimmerman, breeders of Voyager Newfoundlands, have shared their lives with Newfoundlands since 1992. Zimmerman’s (now including children Sam & Sarah) are convinced that raising healthy, tempermentally sound show and working Newfoundlands was a goal they would like to strive for. After much research, a pup was obtained from mentor breeder Denise Castonquay, breeder of CastaNewf Kennels in British Columbia.

Our dogs are a huge part of our life and very much a part the family, so it is extremely important to us that our puppies go to homes where they will be loved and cherished, just as they are here. The goal of our kennel is to remain small, breeding only a few quality litters each year. We strive to produce healty, sound, beautifully moving dogs with excellent temperaments.
We are located in the beautiful Ozark hill country, just north of Springfield, Missouri. We have been breeding Newfoundlands since 1994.
My goals in breeding have always been to produce sound, healthy, sweet, beautiful dogs who could do everything the Newfoundland was originally bred to do. To that end I exhibit my dogs in conformation, obedience, draft and water and have dabbled in tracking and agility. All my potential breeding stock is screened for the known common diseases in Newfoundlands and I encourage my puppy owners to do the same, whether they intend to exhibit their dogs or not.
Steve and Dejah Petsch acquired their first Newfoundland in 1994. Their admiration and love for the Newfoundland breed has turned into a virtual obsession, leading to interests in breeding, conformation, water work, draft work and all other activities Newfoundlands take part in. Steve and Dejah are members of the Newfoundland Club of New England (NCNE), the Newfoundland Club of America (NCA) and are associate members of the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America.
The primary purpose for every litter I breed is to bring forth the Newfs for myself, to be part of my family, to love and to show, and to continue the breeding plan I have developed. Every litter which is bred is price-ranged based upon the pedigree involved with the sire and dam, Quality and scarcity. When the pups are about 8 weeks old they are professionally evaluated as individuals.
