All of our breeding dogs have been x-rayed for good hips along with a cardiology check, and they are DNA tested cystinuria clear. It is important to us to be breeding dogs of excellent temperament and health, as well as beauty. Our puppies are born and raised inside our home where they receive plenty of love and gentle handling.
We take breeding seriously and because we of this we are sucessful at getting our girls pregnant and lowering puppy mortality. We are a family business and plan for Watchbear’s to be around for generations to come.
We choose to produce no more than 2 or 3 litters per year, enabling us to focus on the quality of our breeding program and the raising of our puppies. All of our puppies are hand raised in our home with tremendous attention to their every need and total care.
Baker Bay Newfoundland’s is located in Ferndale, Washington. Just a stones’ throw from the beautiful San Juan Islands. We live on a 30 acre farm in south central Kentucky and have owned Newfoundlands for almost 20 years. TurfTide is a small kennel which only breeds one to two litters per year. Under the mentorship of Betty McDonnell (Kilyka Newfoundlands) and Patti McDowell (Council Cup Newfoundlands), my main goal is to breed healthy, lovable Newfs which, hopefully, will excel in all venues. All of our breeding dogs are cleared for hearts, hips, elbows, patellas, and cystinuria.
AKC Newfoundland pups lovingly raised on our blueberry farm in the heart of the Ozarks. Our newfies have joints screened by OFA, hearts certified, and are DNA cystinuria screened.
We are a licensed breeder with the town and with the state of Maine. We specialize in producing structurally sound, healthy, beautiful Saint Bernard, Mastiff & Newfoundland puppies with excellent temperament. They are raised with children and other pets. We are a small breeder. I am home all day with the puppies and spoil them rotten! They have been handled since day one when I deliver them and cut their cords. We are a Cage-free environment. We believe dogs are people too!
Seabrook Newfoundlands began in 1980 when our first Newf came into our lives, a charming girl named Holly. That simple thought, “Gee, it would be neat to have a Newf,” grew into a kennel and breeding program that has spanned over thirty years and produced over 100 AKC champions. Seabrook Newfoundlands is dedicated to breeding Newfoundlands that are sound in structure and temperament.
We have a passion for Newfoundland and want to share our love for them with you. we breed only AKC registered Newfoundlands. Our puppies come vaccinated and dewormed with a one year health guarantee. We do OFA hips and elbow testing and also genetics.
Birchbark serves as a resource for the Newfoundland breed, and is a Newfoundland member of long-standing. Please do not hesitate to call/email for information regarding the breed, puppy & adult referrals, etc.
The Newfoundland Breed is one we have loved over the years.Because we have a small breeding program we are able to enjoy our Newfs and have them with us wherever we are. One of our main importance is health, without this their beauty, temperament and loyalty only become heartache down the road. The other is temperament which is why we love this breed! We strive to improve our Newfs and work our best to provide you with a well rounded Puppy.
We have owned and been involved in Newfoundlands since 1983. We actively show in conformation and obedience, and are members of The Newfoundland Club Of America, Heart Of America Newfoundland Club, Old West Newfoundland Club and The Arkansas Kennel Club. We breed for type and soundness. All our dogs are x-rayed and evaluated by OFA for hip and elbow conformation.
Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Starting with our first newfs from out of the country (Cannon Bear Newfoundlands-Denmark), Trucker and Honey, I was able to finish their championships quickly. Honey, who became my foundation bitch, produced my first two champions and thus far we have finished many others along the way. Today we are very proud and thankful for all the successes and friends we have made in our endeavor to show and breed healthy and quality Newfoundlands.
Dogs have been a part of our family forever. We spend most weekends and all vacations, engaged in some activity involving the dogs. Now our family has grown to include four Newfs and we are actively engaged in all working dog activities and conformation. Our circle of friends is comprised of other Newf families and we enjoy exchanging stories in between training for working dog titles and just to have fun. We have a tremendous bond with our dogs. It is a deep partnership which we treasure immensely. Nothing else seems to matter when we are working with the Newfs!
Our Newfoundlands are part of our family, raised in our home as our pets and family members. I got my first Newfie in 1996 and have included them in my home since that time. Our goals is to raise high quality dogs and puppies and find them loving lifetime homes.
Our goal in breeding is two-fold: temperament and appearance . While I believe our pups certainly have show dog potential, I don’t presume to know enough about that area of dog ownership. So, when we pick our Neo’s for breeding, we are choosing dogs that please us (their looks) and have a great temperament.
I am dedicated to ensuring a pup that leaves our home is played with, loved, and taught basic training and interaction skills. I health test my adult Newfs and research their pedigree to ensure a healthy pup with a gentle Newf temperament for your family. Our goal is to provide a great companion with good health and gentle temperament. The puppies are all AKC purebred registered Newfoundlands.
Dan & Marylou Zimmerman, breeders of Voyager Newfoundlands, have shared their lives with Newfoundlands since 1992. Zimmerman’s (now including children Sam & Sarah) are convinced that raising healthy, tempermentally sound show and working Newfoundlands was a goal they would like to strive for. After much research, a pup was obtained from mentor breeder Denise Castonquay, breeder of CastaNewf Kennels in British Columbia.
We are located in the beautiful Ozark hill country, just north of Springfield, Missouri. We have been breeding Newfoundlands since 1994.
When we design a breeding the basis is two fold: 1.Producing sound and type for the show ring and 2. Health for not only our breeding program but also for those puppies who will be going to pret homes. A smaller kennel, we typically only produce one litter a year, sometimes two. Typically our kennel is limited to 8 Newfs between both properties. We have been breeding and showing for over 30 years now and see no end in sight!
